The character Dr Boom died during that mission.
The adventurers came to the mountains to find what was causing the miners to flee the mountains. They found that it was a gold dragon, that was protecting the peak where the most abundant ore concentration was. They decided to leave the mountains to warn the authorities about it. A future expedition will be made, to either find another way to the ore, convince the dragon to allow them to mine inside of his peak, or to just kill him...
