The party heard a magical message sent from the sawmill that an incident requiring the assistance of adventurers had occured. The party went there and learned that a really big bear had been disturbed and mauled two of the lumberjacks to death as well as injured several others before picking up the man Gael as a lunchbag and heading into the forest.
Our happy adventurers quickly tracked down the beast only to find it dead and skinned with Gael nowhere to be seen. They then followed tracks leading further into the woods, coming upon four small furry creatures with long whiskers dragging the man Gael on a stretcher through the forest. The party alerted them to their presence, upon which the creatures spoke in their weird tongue and scurried up the tree tops leaving the wounded and unconscious man on the ground.
Six unknown fellas emerged from the woods, screaming in anger and firing off arrows and spells at the little woodland creatures, felling one of them and yelling at the party not to interfere(Shouldn't have done that), upon which the party started slaughtering the human/half-orc/half-elf/dwarf compositioned group that the group quickly concluded were pirates led under a captain named Kraden that came to the continent on a ship called The Scarred Whale. The group captured one of their mages, interrogated him and then executed him.
Off they went back to town, having healed up Gael and fed him lies of how he was captured by poachers. Seems like Ravelgried has three new heroes!
